In this world of over regulated rules, innovation is hard to come by. So when two teams on the grid had the same idea, it looked like the F1 of old never went away.
But- With two crashes involving the same driver and team in as many race weekends, the FIA is chatting to both Ferrari and Red Bull over these so-called 'Macarena Wings', because with a straight mode zone between La Source and Eau Rouge- if Max's wing goes again, they'll be cleaning up his car with a shovel and calling in the air crash investigators.
So, what is a Macarena Wing, how does it work, and what caused these two crashes? Can the FIA and Red Bull/Ferrari reach a compromise or will it be a case of 'revert your wings' before a 2027 ban?
