Description
On June 18, 2026, at approximately 5:37 p.m., LVMPD Fusion Watch received a notification of a possible stolen vehicle near the intersection of East Flamingo Road and Linq Lane. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect fled the area at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued the vehicle and the driver traveled against traffic at times nearly causing multiple collisions.
The suspect vehicle later stopped in the 500 block of Miller Avenue, where multiple occupants fled on foot. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm and officers gave commands to the suspect to drop the weapon. The suspect refused, and the officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody and medical personnel responded. Despite medical efforts, the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers were injured during the incident.
This is the 7th officer-involved shooting of 2026. Per LVMPD policy, the identity of the officer involved will be released after 48 hours.
