Check, Please! Bay Area heads to Wine Country! In Sebastopol, guests dig into stacked burgers and over-the-top sandwiches at Lunch Box, a Sonoma County spot known for big flavor and even bigger appetites. They try the Oklahoma fried onion burger, a griddled mortadella sando and dirty fries topped with bacon and confit garlic. Over in Glen Ellen, guests dine at The Mill at Glen Ellen, a historic restaurant serving American and Mediterranean comfort food with scenic Sonoma charm. The table fills up with grilled prawns with chimichurri, vegetarian pizzas, and Malaysian laksa. The adventure wraps up in Napa at Carabao, where chef Jade Cunningham brings bold Filipino flavors and fine dining technique to Wine Country. Guests feast on lumpia, sizzling sisig, pansit palabok, crispy kare kare and cassava cake. And in this week’s “Cecilia Tries It,” Cecilia Phillips follows the Napa Taco Trail for a taste of the valley’s tortilla-wrapped treasures.
