Luigi Tozzi is one of the Italian talents capable of carrying forward a vision of techno, in continuity with the past tradition and an indecipherable and fascinating push towards the future.

I like repetitiveness, it is the heart of techno music. It allows a listening that I call creative, where the same sequence can continuously change thanks to subtle modulations. I learned a lot by listening to artists like Basic Channel, who are masters in this type of approach. The challenge is to play on the thin line between what is interesting and what could become boring. For example, in Sentient there is a piece with two polyrhythmic synths in seven quarters that remain almost fixed for the entire track, but the timbre changes slightly with each hit. In my opinion this creates that subtle tension that makes listening engaging.
