This is the craziest UFO sighting ever recorded. On April 24, 1964, New Mexico police officer Lonnie Zamora saw a strange object hovering in the sky. It was bright, round, and had two short, stubby legs. He described it as looking like a "big, white flash" with a "blue-green flame" coming from the bottom.
As he approached the object, he saw two small figures dressed in white standing next to it. He also noticed strange symbols on the side of the craft. Suddenly, the object took off at an incredible speed, and Zamora chased it but it was too fast for him.
When Zamora reported the incident to his superiors, they didn't believe him. But, the Air Force's Project Blue Book, which investigated UFO sightings, took the case seriously. They found that Zamora was a credible witness and that the symbols he saw matched no known writing.
Scientists have also found evidence that something strange occurred in the area on that day. They found burns on the ground and scorched vegetation.
