🍪 Learn Natural English Phrases About Snacks and Cravings

In this lesson, you’ll learn some very common English expressions used when talking about snacks, cravings, and the little treats people enjoy — with both American and British versions.

🥤 Let’s grab…
Grab is a very common verb in American English meaning to get.
→ Let’s grab a few snacks before we go.
This simply means: Let’s get some snacks before we leave.

🇬🇧 I fancy…
A British expression used when you want something.
→ I fancy something to eat.
→ I fancy something sweet.
→ I fancy a quick drink before dinner.

Note: To fancy someone means to be romantically attracted to them — completely different meaning.

🍫 Guilty pleasure
Something you enjoy even though it’s not the healthiest or best choice.
→ Crisps are my guilty pleasure.
→ Chocolate is my guilty pleasure.

It’s often used for snacks or treats you know you shouldn’t eat too much of — but you love anyway.
