Lacewood on the Lathe

R Humphrey Video 1 years ago

Description

My first run in with Lacewood left me amazed! This stuff is easy to turn and absolutely brilliant when it shimmers in the light after a proper finish.

With a chunk and thin board of cherry wood, and a nice big board of Lacewood, I make a bowl that has a shimmer unlike any other I've made.
This is the definition of chatoyance.

I also talk and show a bit of how I do my segmented turning calculations with a simple home made segment chart. It'll either help or cause confusion... or both, lol.

Olight, a company I very much like, sent me some lights and asked me to simply shout them out on my socials, but I thought I'd show them to you.

Update: Olight has sent me an affiliate link and code that gets you 10% off the listed price and helps me out a bit too.
