Description
In Moulin, László Nemes revisits a crucial chapter of French history, bringing to the screen the final days of Jean Moulin, one of the leading figures of the French Resistance.
In June 1943, as he attempts to reunify the Resistance networks, Jean Moulin is arrested and brought face to face with Klaus Barbie, head of the Gestapo in Lyon. What follows is a relentless psychological confrontation, as Moulin faces torture, manipulation and brutality without betraying his comrades.
Presented in Competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Moulin is the latest film by Oscar-winning Hungarian director László Nemes, starring Gilles Lellouche and Lars Eidinger.
The film will have its German premiere on November 10 at the International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg, ahead of its Hungarian theatrical release on November 12.
