Knee replacement recovery: dos and don'ts | NHS

NHS Guide 2 months ago

Description

In this video, consultant orthopaedic surgeon Mr Manpreet Singh Sidhu, explains dos and don’ts for effective recovery from knee replacement surgery.
Mr Sidhu gives advice on how you can prepare before your operation to help make life easier for you as you recover. For after care at home, Mr Sidhu explains what you can do to help prevent blood clots, and improve mobility and confidence. He also explains what behaviours you should avoid and for how long you should avoid them, including how long until you can drive and how long until you can lift heavy things.
There’s also guidance on what warning signs to look out for that could indicate a problem after your knee replacement surgery.
