Today I’m sharing the curriculum and course books we’ll be using for our very first year of homeschooling - Kindergarten! 🏡📚
After sending my two older kids through public and charter schools, I’m stepping into a completely new world with my two little girls, ages 5 and 4.
With SO many homeschool programs, curriculums, philosophies, and options out there, I spent a lot of time researching and trying to figure out what would be the best fit for our girls.
And then … we learned a little lesson the hard way. 😅
Because as I’m already discovering, not every Kindergarten curriculum is right for every Kindergartener.
And maybe that’s one of the biggest benefits of homeschooling - being able to meet your child where they actually are, rather than expecting them to fit into a predetermined box.
In this video, I’m walking you through the curriculum and course books we’ve chosen for our first year, what I’m hoping each one will bring to our homeschool, and our first little homeschool hiccup along the way.
I’m very much learning as I go, so this isn’t me saying “I’ve figured it all out.”
It’s actually the opposite.
This is me documenting the process - the research, the decisions, the things that work, the things that don’t, and everything we learn along the way.
