Description
I was lucky enough to be shooting a TIMELAPSE of the "small" lava pool at the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii's Big Island right when it ERUPTED!
Wow! What luck!
I left the camera rolling for about 4 hours.
Here are some wonderful timelapse clips where you can see several hours of flow and direction of the lava in just a few minutes.
This eruption just occurred February 19, 2025, at 8:22 p.m. HS on the Big Island of Hawaii's Halema'uma'u crater at the summit of Kīlauea volcano.
I went ahead and wrote a quick background song for the video using music generating software and my own DAW.
(If you speak the Hawaiin language, please feel free to let me know if I got the words right.)
Not sure if I should call the song "Hey Pele," or "E kuaina_e_kuaina."
You tell me!
Trying to upload for you to watch at 4K.
