In Sanatan Dharma, the dog is sacred — it is associated with Kaal Bhairav, the fierce and just form of Lord Shiva.
That is why Bhairav always walks with a dog by his side.
It symbolizes loyalty, protection, and dharma.
Kaal Bhairava is the guardian of time,
the protector of dharma,
and the destroyer of fear.
When we hurt a dog, ignore it, or chase it away,
we are not just harming a life —
we are creating very heavy karma for ourselves.
If a dog comes near you,
it is not a burden —
it is a soul seeking safety.
Feeding a dog, helping an injured one,
or simply showing kindness is considered punya (divine merit) in our scriptures.
Chanting “Kaal Bhairava Namah”
cuts negative energy, protects the devotee,
and brings courage, discipline, and clarity.
Bhairava listens not to words,
but to the sincerity of the heart.
