A dream is like an addiction. It's hard to quit when you've gotten a taste of it.
I knew when I crashed, I should have already stopped but...
I wanted more. I craved more. Just one more. (Here’s the link where I shared about my first major crash)
Let me take you back to the 3rd of November, 2015.
I am finally defying gravity in Sydney Harbour.
I was thinking… “This is it. My ultimate dream is finally coming to reality. I’m an inch close and nothing will go wrong.”
I vividly remember the paramedics saying, "Do not get into the water! If you get into the water and you get a serious infection, you will lose your leg!"
And then I got into the water.
That was it. The was the final straw. The last call.
I nearly killed myself and put my family at risk.
I lost my center and my center is my wife and my kids.
While I was on a venture of chasing after my dreams, they were getting left behind.
As much as it was important for me to achieve my dreams, my family is more important.
I couldn't risk losing them in exchange for my dreams.
I did not think about jetpacks for a couple of years and I focused on my family.
And then one day….
Bill Suitor told me something that changed the way I saw and approached my dream.
He said what the world has been missing out on is a rescue vehicle.
What used to be a childhood dream has turned into a mission to save lives.
Ever since he told me that, all that’s been running in my head was, “This time, we have a bigger purpose and this time, we will make it right.”
And we did.
