iPhone 16 Pro won't turn on, gets stuck on the Apple logo, or keeps restarting? In this HowFixit guide, I show you how to replace the iPhone 16 Pro logic board, also called the motherboard, when a board fault has been confirmed.

Follow the disassembly and reassembly process: remove the back glass, disconnect the battery, remove the earpiece speaker and TrueDepth camera, disconnect the display, and replace the logic board.

I explain donor-board compatibility, Activation Lock, data loss considerations, and using Repair Assistant to configure supported components after the swap. Then I test Face ID, cameras, speakers, microphones, buttons, USB-C and wireless charging, cellular service, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth before installing new display and back-glass adhesive.

No power, boot loops, and failures after water damage can have other causes. Check the battery, display, charging port, flex cables, and connectors before replacing the motherboard.

A board swap does not transfer data from the original board or remove Activation Lock from locked parts. New adhesive helps restore sealing but does not guarantee factory water resistance.
A donor board may show Unverified and affect features such as Apple Pay.

🌟FAQ:
❓Question: Will replacing the logic board fix an iPhone 16 Pro that won’t turn on or keeps boot looping?
✔️Answer: It can if the logic board is the confirmed cause. Battery problems, damaged flex cables, faulty modules, loose connectors, and software issues can cause similar symptoms. Diagnose the fault before replacing the board.

❓Question: Will a logic board replacement recover my photos and data?
✔️Answer: No. Data stored on the original board does not transfer with a board swap. You can restore an available backup.

❓Question: Can I install a used iPhone 16 Pro motherboard?
✔️Answer: Yes. But first, make sure the donor board is free of Activation Lock.
