Today on the Van & Trike Tour I visit Ajo Bikes — one of Tucson’s most unique cycling shops and a growing hub for recumbent trikes, adaptive cycling, e-bikes, and bike culture in Southern Arizona.
Owner Brian shares the story of buying the shop in 2018, transforming it into a destination for recumbent riders, and how adaptive cycling has helped change lives for many of their customers. From AZUB and Catrike to Greenspeed, ICE, Trident, HP Velotechnik and more, Ajo Bikes has built a reputation around helping riders find the right fit — not just selling bikes.
Tucson is already famous for cycling, The Loop trail system, mountain biking, and winter riding culture… and Ajo Bikes sits right in the middle of it all.
