In this session, we dive into the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone as an artist and the many benefits that'll bring to your paintings long term. I share some story times, about where I did ruin a couple pieces, then proceeded to fix those paintings, and how those lessons impact the paintings, and the painting tutorials I still today. Overall while these steps can be scary, they will make you a better, more confident artist :)
While we have these chats I also show you a speed painting of a panther deep within a jungle, which to me subject wise is a bit out of my own comfort zone. I used to do a lot of wildlife paintings, but in the last 10 years I've focused more on acrylic landscapes, so returning to these subjects can be a bit intimidating... but also very fun.
