I Tested the EcoFlow Battery Hack... Does it Actually Protect Itself?

Description

In my last video, I showed you how to build the EcoFlow battery hub hack — and it blew up. But one big question kept coming up:

“What does it actually DO… and is it safe?”

So in this video, we’re putting it to the test.

✅ Full real-world demo
✅ Draining the battery to 0%
✅ Testing BMS protection
✅ Charging it back up through the hub
✅ Verifying bi-directional power flow

I hooked the hub up to an external inverter and ran the system all the way down to 0% to see what would happen. Would the battery get damaged… or would the internal BMS step in?

Then we flipped it around and tested charging through the hub using an external battery charger to confirm whether this hack truly works both ways.

The results were actually pretty surprising.

We also answer:

Does the EcoFlow still track battery % correctly?
Can you safely access the battery directly?
What protections are still active?
If you watched the build guide, this is the missing piece.
