After years riding an @hpvelo Scorpion across Asia, I finally reunited with Paul from HP Velotechnik during my visit to Pedal Guerrero in San Antonio, Texas.
This episode turned into something much bigger than just another trike ride.
We explored San Antonio’s incredible trail system with adaptive riders, veterans, recumbent enthusiasts, and local riders who know every inch of these paths. Along the way:
* Paul test rode my AZUB Ti-FLY X
* I hopped back onto an HP Scorpion after years away
* We talked suspension, geometry, and electric assist
* Joseph from Pedal Guerrero shared stories from the adaptive cycling community
* Jim Madison gave us an incredible education about the trails and riders in the area
* We nearly rode over a giant rattlesnake
* And yes… Joseph tipped a couple times
What I love about rides like this is that they become more than just cycling videos. They become conversations about mobility, freedom, community, and how recumbent trikes change lives.
