I think the idea of Lumi locking the fuck in for the competition but ultimately losing herself in it and becoming a different person almost entirely is so interesting i love messing around with it :J
She's fighting so hard to bring Pollen back but the longer it takes the fuzzier the memory of her becomes as Lumi starts to suppress the image of her death to stop it from hurting so much, but realising that she's losing that grip on her girlfriend stresses her out further and only makes her even more hostile and isolated in the conversation which THEN further stresses her out MORE because she's so hyper aware all of the time that she's become a person that pollen would never be able to love.
The hatred the other contestants have when they look at her is such a knife to the chest because all she can imagine is how Pollen would look at her the same way if she were still here. She's fought so hard for Pollen and can't back down now, but dreads the thought of winning because she doesn't want to face the consequences of her hostility and violence in the season.
She doesn't recognise herself. Forfeiting the girl Pollen fell in love with for the sake of bringing Pollen back.
