When I had performed as Frank-N-Furter last year in Rocky Horror Show, my dad came away from it saying that, if the spirit ever moved me, I should make a cover of “I’m Going Home”. He enjoyed it so much, and he wanted to hear it whenever he wanted. This year, with the passing of Tim Curry, it felt right to make good on my Dad’s wishes. Coupled with the fact that our Riff Raff and Brad from last year’s production were back in town to join in the vocals, this song came together rather beautifully. Before I performed in this show, I wasn’t very familiar with “I’m Going Home”. It’s gotta be up there with one of my favorites now, and means so much to me. I sincerely hope you enjoy our rendition.

Lyrics:
On the day I went away (Goodbye)
Was all I had to say (Now I)
I want to come again and stay (Oh my, my)
Smile, and that will mean I may
'Cause I've seen blue skies
Through the tears in my eyes
And I realise
I'm going home (I'm going home)
Everywhere it's been the same (Feeling)
Like I'm outside in the rain (Wheeling)
Free, to try and find a game (Dealing)
Cards for sorrow, cards for pain
'Cause I've seen blue skies
Through the tears in my eyes
And I realise
I'm going home (I'm going home)
I'm going home
I'm going home
I'm going home
And if you like what we make here and would like to follow me elsewhere -
