Description
⚡️ I've loved Elvis my entire life, saw Baz Luhrmann's ELVIS 15+ times in theaters, and I've now seen EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert.
In this review, I get into why EPiC left me disappointed despite genuinely beautiful restoration work, incredible color, and a few moments that absolutely reminded me why Elvis on the big screen can still be magic. I discuss the hype surrounding the unreleased footage, the parts that feel more like restoration than revelation, some god-awful editing choices, the soundtrack decisions, The Beatles, Bono's terrible Elvis poem, and how EPiC never fully commits to being either a concert film or a documentary.⚡️
