I haven’t updated my author photo in almost 10 years, and my new one is due in a couple of weeks. 😅
I figured I’d have to fly somewhere, hire a photographer, and make a whole production out of it. I wasn’t feeling that.
Instead, on the way home from picking Daisy up from gymnastics, Mike and I pulled over on a country road close to home just before sunset.
Turns out, the most Living Softly author photo wasn’t somewhere else.
It was waiting a few minutes from home.
Sometimes we spend so much energy looking for the perfect place, the perfect plan, or the perfect timing that we miss what’s already here.
Doing more with less tension has a way of revealing exactly what we were looking for.
Apparently, this is a lesson I need to keep learning.
