This is one of the background music for Hypixel's minigame Build Battle, called "Gamemode88", unlockable for Solos and Teams mode in the Hypixel Minecraft Server. Hope you enjoy!
It's a remake of a classic song on the server called "Gamemode8" which was used in Housing and part of the noteblock playlist in Hypixel Skyblock's stereo pants item. That song was my remix of "Leaf Ponders the Flower, Flower Ponders the Leaf" which you can hear at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-ZCqMnfuBc.
Leaf Ponders the Flower was composed by 桐生 (Kiryuu) and submitted to the Red Cucumber thread on the textboard 2channel as post number 153, as a stage theme for their touhou fan-made character Kawashiro Mitori, used in their phantasm mode mod 'Subterranean Hatred' for Touhou 11 ~ Subterranean Animism. People on the thread communicate by referring to the post number as the author's identity, and the 153'rd post in that thread created the song. which is why the first upload related to it (https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm3876612) has the uploader named "153". Though eventually 桐生 did upload the video of the boss theme of Mitori (https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8338191), so it is assumed her stage theme was composed by that person as well.
In western terms, this community would roughly equate to one found in a 'general' (recurring)-type thread on an imageboard such as 4chan. The songs are found on her fan website created by some of the regulars of that thread, which can still be found at http://mitorikawasiro.web.fc2.com/. The red cucumber thread is inactive, but is still a big part of the history related to the fan-created works derived from Touhou.
Now, with that out of the way, a little comment about the track you're listening to in this video!! Gamemode88 is the 'sequel' to the track Gamemode8, while still structurally based and inspired upon Leaf Ponders the Flower, has got new melodies and chords and can be seen as an original successor to the track. I hope I did enough to balance the new with the inspired elements, so in spirit, it can still share the same namesake.
