Hugh Jackman has played the character Wolverine since 2000. Around 2016, while prepping for LOGAN,
he already made up his mind on retiring from that character.
When Ryan Reynolds showed Hugh a special screening of Deadpool 2,
Hugh realized that he missed the opportunity to do a movie alongside Deadpool.
So when he got a call from Ryan to join him in Deadpool & Wolverine, Hugh said "YES".
