Howa 6 5 Creedmoor Build On The Range

Brownells, Inc. Guide 2 days ago

Description

Now it's time to see how this custom Howa 1500 performs at distance. After assembling this 6.5 Creedmoor precision rifle in the previous video, Caleb heads to the Brownells range to put the build to the test. Equipped with a Grayboe Universal Mini Chassis (UMC), Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 2 optic, and factory Howa barrel and trigger, this rifle is stretched out to 500 yards using Applied Ballistics data and practical holdovers.

Follow along as Caleb confirms impacts at 300, 400, and 500 yards, discusses mil holds, parallax adjustment, wind calls, and optic setup, and shares his impressions of the completed rifle. If you're considering building a precision bolt-action rifle, this range session shows exactly what this combination is capable of right out of the gate.
