Remember you need mallowsweet leaves to begin each Merlin Trial. You can find these foraging, but if you go to The Magic Neep in Hogsmead you can buy them. It's best to buy seeds to plant in the room of requirement. That way every 10 minutes you can harvest 5 more mallowsweet leaves.
