Opis
"Say What You Will" by Fastway packs a lot into one riff — chromatics, hammer-
ons, pull-offs, and power chords all in the first few bars. In this lesson I
break down the main riff note by note and show you the transition that trips
most people up.
The riff starts on the open A string, then moves into a triplet lick on frets
5-6-7 of the third string with a hammer-on/pull-off back down to the fourth
string. From there it's a D power chord on the fifth string moving to a C at
the third fret. The hardest part isn't the notes — it's getting from the end
of that lick into the power chord cleanly. I show you two ways to finger the
transition (dropping your third finger, or switching to your pinky) so you can
pick whichever feels natural for your hand.
