This tutorial goes over how to how to create sandblasted text (or this works on other objects too!) inside Photoshop. This is done using the dissolve blending mode on the layer in combination with masks. You essentially paint on the sandblasting effect using a brush to the layer mask, and because you're using a mask, it's non-destructive and easy to change and adjust as needed.
I also show how to put the finishing touches on the design using a variety of layer effects. Overall this is super fast to do and should only take you a few minutes!
