I never thought I’d be repairing a loose fretboard marker on a Gibson guitar… but here we are!
While playing one of my favorite SGs, my finger suddenly caught on something sharp. A closer look revealed a lifted fret marker that was literally starting to come out of the neck. On a premium guitar from a legendary brand like Gibson, this was the last thing I expected to see.
In this video, I’ll show you exactly how I repaired the loose fret marker step-by-step, what caused it, the tools I used, and a few important mistakes to avoid if this ever happens to your guitar.
