"Tender is the Sea" is a painting about light, silence, and the fragile connection between a figure and the sea.

In this video, I show the process of creating the work - especially how I painted the dress and the water in similar tones, while preserving depth, space, and atmosphere. The challenge was to keep everything in one delicate color harmony, but still make the fabric, the figure, the rocks, and the sea feel distinct and alive.
I wanted the painting to feel quiet, luminous, and full of air - like a moment suspended between movement and stillness.
