On my 911 call I immediately say that my leg was amputated, which is because in the moment I hadn’t fully assessed the situation. Later in the call I say that it was at my ankle. Ever since, I’ve referred to myself as a “right leg amputee” instead of “right foot amputee”, which causes a lot of people confusion because they first find me through the 911 call which insinuates that I only lost my foot. So this is my answer to that confusion.
