Turned this tragedy into a financial lesson for you. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Send an email to the bank. Attach the scanned copy of the invoice and the transaction slip. ALWAYS keep these when you make a payment.
2. Call up the merchant (restaurant in my case) and tell them about this and ask them to void the transaction if they have not claimed it, or reverse it if the claim has already happened.
3.Ask them to CC you in the email thread they do to the bank so you are in the loop, it might take 7 days for it to be reversed.

PS: This was a credit card transaction. Step 1 is always to inform the bank with proof then talk to the restaurant. When I spoke to them, they immediately sent an email ccing me asking to partially refund to my acct. They say it will take 7 days to get the money back.
