Description
If the Creator were behind the door, I wouldn't open it because I fear Him. So I can't pray for connection. What should I do?
That's a very good question. You should fear, but not that revealing the Creator would destroy what you are, your individuality, or your sense of life and pleasure, and so on. We need to first understand that “there is none else besides Him” and that He wants your fulfillment, your pleasure.
The Creator is never going to completely overwhelm and undermine your spiritual development. The entire system of nature and outer and inner life is designed only to advance you so that you can make this step. You will never be advanced beyond your capability to really want something and feel the good in having the thing that you want answered spiritually. It happens bit by bit.
Achieving this connection is something that takes guidance, patience, and time. It's meant to evolve over your entire life in the same way that you started out as an infant and became a child, a toddler, a kid, and then an adolescent, and eventually an adult. This didn't happen overnight, of course.
If you had changed that much overnight, can you imagine the tearing and exploding sounds that would accompany that kind of growth? No. Nature evolves us bit by bit according to our ability, and especially according to our desire.
So at the moment when you come to open that door, it will actually be the Creator opening the door. You will want to and be completely capable of doing it. This is a conscious process. We grow into it, we become capable of it, and we're assisted through it by all of the apparent forces that surround us, and especially by that single force of love.
So it's not going to guide you to a door that will hurt you.
