Welcome to part two of my realistic nesting vlog! I’m taking you through weeks 36–38 of pregnancy as I prepare for baby #2 with postpartum freezer meals, baby organization, labor preparation, and a complete hospital bag tour for giving birth in Puerto Rico.
In this video, I’m making an easy crock-pot freezer meal for postpartum, organizing our bedroom closet and newborn supplies, packing diaper caddies, walking during the final weeks of pregnancy, and experimenting with a date coffee smoothie. I’m also showing everything I packed in my hospital bag as a second-time mom—including postpartum recovery products, breastfeeding essentials, comfortable clothing, toiletries, and gender-neutral baby clothes since we still don’t know whether we’re having a boy or a girl!
Beyond the practical preparation, I’m sharing an honest third-trimester pregnancy update. The end of this pregnancy has been physically and emotionally difficult, and I’ve been learning how to acknowledge what is hard without losing sight of God’s goodness. Preparing to give birth in Puerto Rico has required me to surrender many fears, unfamiliar circumstances, and decisions to the Lord. Now that the nesting is finished and the hospital bags are packed, I’m learning to release control, wait patiently, and trust God with the baby, the birth, and the timing.
