Description
Oil change on the Honda Shadow Aero, spring is in the air, and the oil change is due. I change the oil in all my vehicles once a year, every spring. I don't get a ton of miles on my Honda Shadow or any of my vehicles for that matter, so changing the oil once a year is just fine. I do use AMSOIL in everything I own and I use quality filters, typically Wix filters.
If your new to servicing a motorcycle, specifically a Honda Shadow Aero, or you've never done it before, follow along. You'll need some very basic tools, and an oil drain pan that's got a low profile. Anything around 5 inches in height or less will work just fine.
I do recommend using either the factory recommended oil or AMSOIL. I prefer AMSOIL in everything I own. No, it's not the cheapest but it is the best. If you're interested in purchasing AMSOIL leave me a comment and we'll get in touch.
