Tired of banging your knuckles on your Honda Ridgeline's rear doors? The second-gen Ridgeline (2017-2019) has notoriously narrow rear door openings, but there's a simple, reversible fix that takes about 30 minutes and costs under $30.
In this video, I replace the factory rear door checks (the sliders/stops that limit how far the door swings) with the longer front door checks. The result: noticeably wider rear doors, easier loading, and easier access for passengers, kids, and pets.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Front door checks (used on the rear) - verify part numbers for your VIN
Left: 72380-TG7-A02
Right: 72340-TG7-A02
- Basic socket set
- Trim/panel removal tools

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- This method applies to 2017-2019 Ridgeline. The 2020+ models use revised rear hinges, so the approach is different. Always confirm part numbers with a Honda parts counter before ordering.
