What a strange day ... I was not ready to race, the bike was not ready to race and the trail didn't want me to race on it , but somehow I managed to do pretty good. I wasn't feeling it at all that morning so I just went out and "fun rode" and had a good time, considering I did't get into race mode until the last couple laps I am actually very happy with hot I finished. I think the trail is quite a bit more difficult than the video makes it out to be, lots of whoops areas, soft sand spots and a ton a roots. If started pushing harder earlier in the race I am sure I would have finished better but oh well. Like I said, it was a fun time.
