After being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, Notre Dame women's soccer student-athlete Mel Hathaway faced a challenge far greater than anything she had experienced on the field.
In Her Way Back, Mel shares her journey through diagnosis, cancer treatment and her emotional return to soccer. Alongside her sister Kate and Doug and Lisa Jones Family Head Women's Soccer Coach Nate Norman, she reflects on the challenges of being away from the game, the support of her family and teammates, and the moments that helped her persevere.
