My sister asked me to run a marathon with her before she turned 20. Over the past ~5 months we ran hundreds of miles together training and on Saturday we completed the marathon. The Helenback Marathon is up in Helen GA and starts at the river in town and follows trails all the way up to the ridge line on Trey Mountain (the Appalachian Trail).
I've run a 50k and backpacked dozens of marathons, but this was my first marathon in a race setting. Here are some snippets from the day!
