Connect with Jack and Gail: YouTube.com/@85VanGo
Bob does not throw the word genius around lightly, but when he met Jack and saw what he built inside this 1985 GMC Vandura 3500 Pathfinder 4x4 he could not help himself.
Jack custom fabricated an aerodynamic aluminum top for the van giving them 6'4 of standing room inside, and nearly everything in the build is aluminum to keep the weight down. This van has a remarkable history too, originally built for the city of Los Angeles to serve as an emergency disaster communication vehicle. Jack and Gail have transformed it into a functional and clever home on wheels complete with a stove tucked into custom drawer handles, a shower in an impossibly small space, and a bed for two.
This is the kind of build that reminds you what is possible when someone truly gifted with metal decides to go all in.
