Training Session with Happy, the Jenday Conure!
Jenday Conures are native to South America, living in forests and dry woodlands.
Eating nuts, seeds, fruits, flowers, and berries!
They have great balance in their feet! Being able to bring one foot up to their mouths while eating!
Not only that, but they are very strong and tend to hang upside down from their feet, too!
They are very intelligent and very social both in the wild and in captivity!
Which is unfortunately why this species is threatened in the wild. With many captured illegally for the pet trade.
Happy LOVES doing all of his tricks and getting to fly around the room!
Like most birds, his favorite part of the day is getting treats!
