Guitari Baro—meaning “Guitar Conversations”—is a musical dialogue rooted in a shared Mande griot heritage, drawing on regional styles of the Mande repertoire while referencing jazz, Congolese rumba, rock, Guinean dance bands, and Cuban music, evoking both past and present in sublime, futuristic ways.
