House Republicans in the Judiciary Committee led a hearing on June 9, 2026 to slander the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Representative Lance Gooden (R-TX) stated that Antifa is "an actual domestic terrorist organization" and asked at-the-time interim CEO Bryan Fair whether or not it's included on SPLC's "hate map."
