I’ve spent a lot of time and money trying to make recycled waste 3D prints back into useful objects such as filament. This particular saga has been going on for about three years, unfortunately without a successful outcome. In this video I tell my experience with the ReDeTec Protocycler+ filament extruder.
ReDeTec initially contacted me to see if I was interested in their machine. We negotiated a 25% discount on the purchase price and free freight to Australia. Therefore this cost me $2,250 USD. There was also a stipulation that I could not have an affiliate account, which never concerned me.
My interactions with Zoltan and Dennon were positive, but the lack of response from the support team is nothing but unacceptable. Assuming the machine is not broken, I think it might be possible to achieve my goal of making new filament from a combination of virgin pellets and shredded waste prints. This would however, require guidance from ReDeTec on the manual extrusion process to suit my particular application. They won’t even respond to my emails for the initial problem, so I can’t get any further with that.
