Girls5eva Season 1 recap in 3 minutes or less. Twenty years after their fleeting pop stardom, Dawn, Wickie, Summer, and Gloria try to revive their careers while balancing chaotic personal lives.
It all kicks off when Dawn hears rapper Lil Stinker sample their old hit, pulling the group back together for a Tonight Show performance. Energized by the spotlight, the women decide to mount a full comeback—even as their former manager dismisses them as “too old.” From Dawn struggling with songwriting and a Dolly Parton-inspired vision, to Summer hiding her failing marriage, and Wickie facing the collapse of her influencer image, the group battles insecurities and the music industry itself.
Along the way, they reconnect with old flames, face viral fame after a resurfaced meltdown video, and even resist offers of solo careers to stand as a group. But when betrayal, divorce, and a TV gig drive them apart, it all comes to a head at Jingle Ball. There, they reclaim the stage with their anthem “Four Stars,” proving that Girls5eva will always be stronger together.
