You finished the lectures, made notes and marked the subject "done". Then a GATE PYQ opens and nothing moves. This is not a talent problem: watching, understanding and solving are three different skills, and only solving builds the third.
In this video, Sanchit Sir runs a 4-step loop on real GATE CS PYQs (Operating System, page faults and EAT):
1. Attempt: try the question yourself first.
2. Diagnose: concept gap, recall gap, application gap, or careless/time?
3. Repair: fix only that gap with a case tree.
4. Reattempt: notes closed after 2–3 days, change one condition, then a fresh PYQ.
PYQs used (all have video solutions on our platform):
• Warm-up: GATE CS 2011 (page fault EAT)
• Main demo: GATE CS 2018 (page fault rate from M, D, X)
• Your homework: GATE CS 2014 (TLB EAT). Solve it cold, then check.
Start today: pick one subject you call "completed", attempt 5 PYQs without help and start a mistake log (question · gap type · what I fixed · reattempt date). Comment the first gap you found.
