House prosecutor atty. Chel Diokno and Defense lawyer Atty. Michael Poa debated on the 7th Impeachment trial, on Monday, July 20, 2026, whether the subpoena of Duterte's Tax records is a "fishing expedition" or a search for probable cause without clear evidence.
Poa criticized the Articles of Impeachment for allegedly lacking factual evidence, saying that they were just trying to catch a fish with a big net, trying to find evidence. Meanwhile, Diokno debated that they have a clear basis for requesting a subpoena, citing suspicious transactions and the billions of pesos tied to her spouse, Atty.
