4 Reasons to Jack: The debut EP from NYC’s Fugitive Artifact is a twisted tribute to the primitive sounds of The Windy City. Fiercely minimal, old-school house music that leaves no other option to Jack. Punk Out Cuts, taking cues from Fingers Inc., Legowelt and Palmbomen, Peter Raglin’s Fugitive Artifact occupies the heady space surrounding the hard and deep sounds of embryonic Chicago House. Fugitive Artifact practices a hypnotic exercise in restraint, building a dark, trance-like world around the simplicity of a MPC1000, Roland D-05 and Korg MicroStation.
