Do you ever wonder whether you've made the right decision or taken the right path in life? Did you take the right course/job? Wait too long/ not long enough to have kids? Second guess that investment you made last year? Last week, after a long morning, I panicked (just for a moment, thankfully). I started to reflect about decisions that I've made and how I got to where I am. For me, it all happened so quickly. Married at 24 and 3 kids by 29. In New York I saw people my age eating out, going to events and enjoying a fairly care-free life. No mortgages or kids, no major responsibilities. It was the first time that I felt like I blinked and saw that life was moving far too quickly.
We all have that moment where we think 'HOW DID I GET HERE' ?! That's normal, just make sure you constantly check yourself and count your blessings. More likely than not, you are right where you need to be to experience certain joys in life. From challenging experiences comes growth, but also, there might be a lot of beauty in your life right now that you are missing because your head is in the past. You can't move forward if you're looking back.
The second half of this vlog shows how many good moments happened that day. If I had stayed doubting myself, I would have missed what was right in front of me. Jordan has a quick 7 month update, speaks some of her first words, crawls and dances while Gabriel draws a portrait of me. Then how could I forget ending the night with my family. There's no point in comparing lives. We all have different blessings. Some blessings come earlier for others. Some people live with more hardships, but we can all find beauty in even the hardest of times.
