Well I finally have a solution to fixing the frame damage on my miata- just get a whole new chassis! Cameron really bailed me out on this one. All-in-all I learned a ton from this car. The most important thing being- don't shortcut anything when it comes to a damaged car. Often times the most important lessons you learn are through failure, so I'm very greatful I got this opportunity to learn!
